Yes, prior experience seems to be required as many questions asked were about my job experiences especially those concerning sales.What did you learn?
Although I did not enjoy the experience much, but it gave me great insights on the insurance industry in Malaysia and how it works as this company is an agency company affiliated with Great Eastern Malaysia. Eventually, this experience proved to be useful for my future lessons in my university.Was your supervisor supportive?
The superiors were quite supportive and concerned with my progress.What could be improved? What could you have done better?
The job scope described needs to be clear as it was quite vague and misleading. Nothing was mentioned about being an insurance agent during the interview and I was just told that the job scope was to provide professional financial advice to customers. It was because of this I agreed to accept the internship offer only to realise that it was something else that I did not have in mind. As for me, there was nothing much that I could improve as I have never thought of sales and marketing as my career.Advice for future interns?
Future or prospective interns should have passion in doing sales especially in selling insurance in order to be able to enjoy working for this company.
