    Investment Research

It was very engaging and insightful and enlightened me on the techniques of carrying out fundamental analysis. Full review »

How many weeks was it for?
    8 weeks
    Internship ended
    08/2016
    What was your weekly pay?
    RM 900
    What did you do?
I was given a core research project by my mentor which involved carrying out fundamental analysis on a property developer based in Philippines. This involved me obtaining information regarding the company's business model, the macroeconomic scene in Philippines and finally a valuation of the company. The end product of the research is a presentation to the investment analysts and portfolio manager. I was given a lot of independence as all that was given to me was an outline. Overall, the experience of going through the research was an invaluable one.Besides that, there was a one-off data entry assignment which took a few days to complete.
    What did you learn?
The main takeaway I would say is observing the day and the job scope of an investment analyst and portfolio manager which from my inspection involves a tremendous amount of reading and always keeping up with the latest economic and financial news. I also got to learn the importance of excel in analysing a companies financials and in executing a DCF(Discounted Cash Flow Analysis). The learning curve is quite steep but with the support of your mentor,it can be a smooth process. This internship also improved my presentation skills greatly given that I presented 3 times.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
The support was good in the sense that whenever I had any queries,I would walk up to my mentor and eventhough he looked extremely busy he never failed to make time for me and this is somehting I greatly appreciate. Either than that, the work given is very independent and it is up to you to clarify your doubts if there is any.Typically,I accumulated my questions and asked him at one go so as to not continuously disturb him.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
In terms of what could be improved, there was no Bloomberg Terminal training session during the period of my internship due to unavailability of classes which is offered by an external organisation.I did attempt to self-learn my way through it and managed to retrieve all the data i needed but I am still not fluent at using it and probably should have contacted the help chat application on the Bloomberg Terminal.
    Advice for future interns?
My main advice would be to be efficient with your time.Even if your mentor does not give you a specific deadline for the assignment,it is your duty to finish it in good time so that you have more time to do other exciting projects.

    What did you do?
I worked with the deal team for one of Malaysia's largest oil and gas companies in relation to SAP capability development for international countries, which included talent management activities. I was put under an analyst as my "buddy" who reviewed my progress throughout my internship. Majority of my work was to handle the presentations used for their teaching materials. I literally worked on more than a 1000 slides - making sure the slides are consistent and updated according to the standards given by the client. Unfortunately, I was not given a great amount of meaningful work and there were times I did not have any work at all.
    What did you learn?
Great attention to detail. But also, this was my first internship in a large firm - I witnessed my firsthand of office politics. It was definitely something to experience eventually.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
The analysts and consultants were very helpful and friendly. If I had any questions with regards to work or their experience as a whole in Accenture, they were more than willing to share with me.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
I tried to be as proactive as I could - always asking if they needed help with anything, but they only had limited amount of work to give me. Most of their work was above my paid grade, I would say. There's only so much that could be done.
    Advice for future interns?
I may not have had a great internship, but it really depends on the project you get put into. I met many other interns in the same intake as me who enjoyed themselves a lot.

    What did you do?
I involved in two main projects. When I first joined Flexiroam, Flexiroam has striked a partnership with Malaysia SEA Games Contingent 2015. I was in charge the whole process flow of the project and ensure every contingent receive their FREE Flexiroam SIM Card before they travel to Singapore for SEA Games. After 8 weeks, I started to handle a project named 365 Program. This program was about partnering with various travel agencies from Malaysia and Singapore. I was handling the back end documents which including agreements, invoices, Flexiroam vouchers and so on. Besides, I also had the opportunity to speak to the Travel Agencies regarding on our partnership program. Other than that, I was assigned to handle various minor projects every week. I feel very grateful that Flexiroam did not treat me as a intern and they even gave me ownership to handle different projects.
    What did you learn?
My biggest lesson in Flexiroam is to treat everyone as your family while you are in work. This does not only increase your interest in the work place but also your productivity on your job. Not only that, it increases the teamwork when you are treating others as your family because you have faith in them. It often helps you to achieve something big if you are faithful in each and everyone in the team.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
Basically, my supervisor do not offer me any support because he always trusted in my ability in work. However, he will always help whenever I have doubts or any questions. My supervisor will not refuse to answer all my questions and he is very willing to assist whatever I need.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
I should have take initiative to attend more events. Although I handled a lot of projects in Flexiroam, but I participated only two events through out my internship period. I wished to participate in more different events such as partnership events and career fair events. I should have requested to participate in such events.
    Advice for future interns?
Although Flexiroam is practicing Family-Oriented Culture, it doesn't mean that you can enjoy by joining Flexiroam. You have to make sure that you are keen to contribute your time and effort. Flexiroam is a growing company, their office is not huge and the workload is considered high. However, as an apprentice in Flexiroam, you will always learn more than you thought.

How many weeks was it for?
    5 weeks
    Internship ended
    09/2015
    What was your weekly pay?
    RM 0
    What did you do?
Due to the fact that I was only interning for 5 weeks, I was not given a full ownership of a project. However, a large amount of my time revolved around a small-scale project of biogas (methane and biohydrogen) production from sago mill effluents. One of the tasks delegated to me was feedstock preparation, which consisted of preparing wastewater from blended sago palm piths and measuring substrates, pivotal to the nourishment the gas-producing bacterias in the wastewater. I was also routinely tasked to conduct a Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) analysis on these feedstock solution, using a UV-Vis Spectrometer. Occasionally, the Volatile Fatty Acids (VFAs) of samples are determined via the means of Gas Chromatography. Regular assessments were conducted by the research officer, to whom I was not directly answerable when unsatisfactory results were yielded. Nevertheless, I was directly involved in devising solutions to mitigate regular setbacks faced, especially in the COD analysis.
    What did you learn?
One of the key take-outs of this internship is a greater appreciation of research field. Not only have I understood that failures and inconsistencies are imminent in any research work, but I realised that they are important in making one more innovative and resourceful too. In retrospect, I have also learnt to persevere and manage my time better. My 5 weeks at CRAUN Research have also equipped me with an incredible hands-on experience of handling laboratory equipments and chemicals - more than I could ever have in the 3 years of my Chemical Engineering Bachelor degree programme. It has also provided an insight of the sago industry, more extensively in the downstream area - from the main uses of sago to its economic benefits and environmental impacts.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
My two supervisors, which consisted of a research officer and a research assistant, have been very helpful and supportive during the course of my internship. There were informal check-ins where I was allowed to ask any questions and/or voice out any grievances (e.g. If the internship experience did not correspond to my expectations), with both of them. Since the research officer oversaw more than one project, I was permitted to observe and participate in other projects too (one of which was the production of biodegradable plastics from sago starch). During these "off-track" sessions, the research officer would usually fill me in with background information as well as conducting a casual Q&A session, with regards to these projects which I felt was really great.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
Given the location of the facility and the nature of the work at CRAUN Research, the internship experience can be improved by providing interns with monetary incentives, either on a one-off or monthly basis.
    Advice for future interns?
While they are no interviews to go through to secure an internship at CRAUN Research, it is wise to do a considerable amount research on the sago industry beforehand. That way, you would have a glimpse of what to expect once you have started. This might also come in handy in the configuration of your internship project with your supervisor later on- so that it can be best suited to your interests or a particular skill set that you look forward to enhance. And always, always be inquisitive about things during your internship!

    6 weeks
    Internship ended
    08/2014
    What was your weekly pay?
    RM 1200
    What did you do?
My task was to assist in the production of the Current Affairs programme that ran daily. This included podcasting and uploading the morning's episode onto the BFM website. I would also assist in research and setting up interviews. I was also allowed to pitch my own episode ideas or produce my own episodes. This would require me to research a given topic, set up and conduct interviews, record voiceovers and edit the entire audio package for air. I did episodes on both local and international stories ranging from the TPP Agreement and the MH17 Tribunal to bauxite mining and Orang Asli children. I was able to interview a whole host of people for my reports include topic experts, academics and politicians. Topics and editing would be overseen by my supervisor who gave feedback for each episode I did. However, besides a few pointers I was allowed to work almost independently. The final report, uploaded to the BFM website, is credited to me.
    What did you learn?
I learnt quite a bit of interview skills and approaches in setting up interviews. In particular, dealing with government agencies and politicians required me to understand how go about arranging for interviews and verifying information before airing a piece. The learning curve can be quite daunting at first especially when you're tasked with interviewing experts so you have to be prepared with good research. Researching topics thought me how to find relevant information quickly as I was mostly working on a deadline. It also taught me a lot about how to frame stories to the audience. I also learnt a fair bit about how the station works as a whole including a bit of the technical aspects of the station.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
A lot of the initial support was provided by the more senior interns. This included things like workflow ideas, technical help working with recordings and podcasting. However, my supervisor did keep checking if I was working on something or not. If I was having trouble with a report, my supervisor was always open to discussing it and providing possible solutions including leads and contacts for interviews.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
If there's one thing lacking it could be the slight lack of structure within the programme. Though it's not honestly a big deal and it does help give a truer feel of the work culture for individual programmes. Due to the independent nature of a lot of my work, it was really self-discipline that pushed me to do a good job rather than my supervisor. So it really comes down to your own initiative to do a good job.
    Advice for future interns?
Really understand the station's programming and apply for a programme that you're interested in. If you don't have an interest in the content of that programme it will affect how motivated you feel throughout your internship. Be prepared to be thrown straight into the job so you have to be confident with yourself especially when making calls and interviews. Don't be afraid to throw your ideas forward, it could actually go through and that's an amazing experience.

    What did you do?
Initially, I was given a task on doing a macro research on Soybean, Corn, Palm Oil and the impact of El Nino on production and prices. Doing this research allows me to understand the importance of understanding the industry in great details as well as improving my ability to interpret relevant information. Later, I was assigned to do analysis on palm oil companies by comparing and monitoring their plantation statistics to find the company with the largest growth potential as well as assessing their risk on foreign currency debt. There were many other "small" projects along the way, but much flexibility was given when you are doing your work.
    What did you learn?
This internship has given me an insight of what it's like working in a fund management industry. As I was involved in doing macro economy research as well as company specific research, I was able to identify the key components that are pivotal in making investment decisions. Aside from that, this internship has thought me the importance of detailing as it is vital to understand every aspect of an industry/company to improve your decision making.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
My supervisor was very supportive. Although she was always busy, she would often take some time off whenever I have any questions. Besides that, she was also very flexible in what I do. I mentioned to her that I would like to learn more about doing company specific research and she gave me an assignment on that.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
The one thing I think that could be improved is for the company to give the interns more group work. I believe that working in groups would improve and steepen our learning curves as there will be a constant sharing of idea.
    Advice for future interns?
I believe that having time-management skills would be the most important. Always set a deadline for yourself and always finish your work before the deadline. This would definitely improve your time-management skills and allow you to learn as many thing as possible in a short period of time.

A very dense internship, both in terms of depth and breadth. But honestly, it's not as intense and as scary as it seems to be. You become part of a close-knit community and there is a lot of room given to you to explore and do you want to do. All you have to do is ask. Full review »

    What did you do?
I was tasked to conduct a research on the political atmosphere of Southeast Asia, which was a monumental task but turned out to be very fulfilling. On top of that, I had to give several presentations, as well as research on several companies and one on trading policies. There were many other little mini-projects along the way that they will throw at you, but you are given so much control and flexibility in terms of what you want to do with what you need to do. The company trusts your judgments, so make sure you use that opportunity to the max.
    What did you learn?
If you tell the company that you occasionally enjoy wall climbing, they'll probably ask you to climb the Everest. This is the kind of organization that is sharp at recognizing your potential and bold at pushing you to your limits.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
Very supportive. Again, all you have to do is ask. I can literally see and give a quick shout to my supervisor from my desk. They're not always free, but they do make time whenever you have questions. My supervisor was especially humble and very willing to share his knowledge with me. Most importantly, they will not judge for what you don't know and will accommodate to your particular skill sets the best they could.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
This internship is too under-advertised. A lot more people needs to know how good this internship really is compared to the ones you can get around the Kuala Lumpur area. Also, the company's website should be revamped to match their more progressive nature. My first impressions from the website wasn't very promising, but that all changed from my first day in the office.
    Advice for future interns?
I cannot stress enough, all you have to do is ask. The company will not limit you on what you can do for the company. If you have an idea that you think would be of value to the company, present it and you'll get to work on it. The company provides a lot more room for you to grow than you think. Make full use of it.

    What was your weekly pay?
    RM 1200
    What did you do?
As a Morning Run intern, I had to come in at 6 am every morning. As expected, I started working the moment I entered the office, as the presenters and research team were rushing to get the news stories and research angles out before the 7.30 am BizTalk session. The one-and-a-half hours everyday became the most intense part of the internship. Apart from preliminary rearrangement of the news stories, research needs to be conducted quickly and accurately. We were constantly reminded on how much the audiences depended on diverse angles of a story and the correctness of the information. At 8 am every morning, the flagship program - The Breakfast Grille - would air. Interns would be assigned their Grilles a week before. During my tenure, I was lucky to do high-profile Grilles like Felda Global Ventures CEO, Minister Nancy Shukri, Levi's Director, Sakae Sushi CEO, iFlix CEO and many others. This was my favourite part of the work because I was given great autonomy and independence here.
    What did you learn?
Coming from a law background, the learning curve was steep as Morning Run demands knowledge in business and finance. I had to digest materials in a shortest time and be able to recognise the key components of a story. As for the Breakfast Grille research, I exercised my discretion on what would be most useful for the interviews and participated fully in the meetings. Aside from that, I am now able to read companies' financials and conduct quantitative assessments of its performances. Occasional uses of Bloomberg Terminal became very useful. The less exciting part of the internship consists of editing podcasts using Adobe Audition and MODX Web Content Management System. These were highly technical skills. As for the work environment at BFM, I have never been in a friendlier place in my life. There was not a day which I did not enjoy. Part of the reason for this might be the absence of personal offices or cubicles. Everyone was seated together, everyone was friendly.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
Michael, Head of Research, constantly checked on us and ensured we were doing fine. If we had any challenges in the work that we do, he would help us out on the spot. He was only a few steps away. Moreover, he held mini seminars on topics like the Foreign Exchange and Journalism techniques. It was clear that he wanted us to make the most of the internship. I also grew close to the rest of the Morning Run Crew. They were always open to teach you more, and we always went for lunch together. I was treated like a full-time employee as they respected and appreciated my work and opinions, and I was treated like an intern when I needed leeway for errors. This was the best of both worlds. Everyone I worked with was knowledgeable, generous and kind. I have a curious mind and was unafraid to ask questions, but they were never annoyed. It is really nothing more that I could ask for. The office also provided breakfast. To be greeted with the smell of pastry and nasi lemak, it was heaven.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
BFM's Morning Run internship far exceeded the standard of Malaysian internships, since most internships do not have good reputations. Thus, any critique here would not be to 'fix' a broken program, but merely acts as a advice for betterment. There could more mini seminars. I found the mini seminars incredibly enlightening, as I got to learn more than what I get from the research I have done. Finance is filled with terminologies, concepts and history, and the more you know, the better. Even when I worked from 6 am - 3 pm everyday, it certainly felt too short. There could be clearer allocation of workload for each day. But this is tricky, I recognise, because an imposition too strict would deprive the autonomy you get to prioritise which work for how long. It is a balancing act. BFM holds regular meetings which were honestly conducted. They are open to criticisms of their own, and that means most flaws will be self-correcting over time. I don't worry.
    Advice for future interns?
In a radio station, there are no tolerance for missing deadlines. If something needs to be done at 8.45 am, even a minute late would spell chaos. That means you have to be at top of your game when you commit to it. I enjoy the thrill, and I reckon you must enjoy it too. Talk to everyone you see, and do not be afraid. The only reason I got the high-profile Grilles was because I wanted to do them. Ask, and they shall be given to you. I was given the Nancy Shukri Grille when I had 2 other Grilles to be done. If you are willing to commit, they will count on your word. Be an adult, and expect to be treated as one. Love your job. I brought work home almost any other day not because I was obliged to, but because I genuinely enjoyed doing them. Knowing that the work will be used on air and praises and criticisms will be drawn at you is an exhilarating thing. You can track your own progress and mentors at BFM will not be afraid to be honest with you. Use that to the best of you.

    What did you do?
Being placed in Outreach and SEANET unit gave me a diverse set of experience as I was able to work on a variety of different projects. Reports, research, database management and event organisation formed majority part of the work. Discussion session with US Trade Representative, Michael Froman and ASEAN Economy Community briefing with civil society organisations in Malaysia were among the events that I worked on. Assessment differed based on the nature of work and the unit that I worked with. I was given a lot of independence in terms of research as I worked on ASEAN related matters under SEANET.
    What did you learn?
It was an inspiring experience being able to work with such an amazing team. I learnt something from each and everyone in the team. From the organisation side, the biggest lesson for me was their independence and cross partisan stance which I found refreshing. The organisation`s principles are clearly reflected in their work and they have a clear set of values that they adhere to which is a big lesson for me. I also learned more about liberalism principles and market solutions through their work. My line manager and a few other colleagues imparted valuable lessons on professional development and working life which I appreciate immensely. On the other hand, being able to work and learn from the top two people in the team, Wan Saiful and Tricia, was an equally humbling and eye opening experience on how IDEAS operate on a higher level. I would say it was a complete package of internship.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
Yogi, my line manager was an amazing person to work with. He gave me a lot of guidance and feedback in the work that I did. The team in general are very supportive and open minded. They encouraged me to attend events that interested me and provided information on external events that I might be keen in which was very thoughtful.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
The work pattern could be unpredictable at times as there could be an intensely busy period of events followed by a relatively quiet period with mostly being research work. It is advisable to learn to adapt to the changing pace of work and ask for help whenever needed.
    Advice for future interns?
The nature of work in Outreach and SEANET is quite different from that of Political Economy and Governance Unit (PEGU) as well as Education. Therefore it would be advisable to consider thoroughly before you choose the unit that you would like to work under. Otherwise be open to the opportunities that you have and make the full use of your time in IDEAS.

    What did you do?
My project was a continuous improvement project. Basically I came out with a current state mapping, identify the weaknesses in the current system and come out with a solution. It was fun. I love it. The project was interesting. I was so independence, there was no structure of what to do next or what to be done and the project's successfulness was totally depending on me and my will to keep the project running. But mentor and supervisor did a weekly review to make sure that I am on the right track. My work was assessed and as for that matter, I try to deliver my project on par with Shell's standard and I seek for advice from Continuous Improvement team to make sure that I delivered the project correctly. I was given full ownership of everything I done in the project.
    What did you learn?
One thing particular about Shell is that the organization is very systematic. Oil and Gas industry is a challenging, competitive, and volatile industry. As the organization is very systematic, I learnt the organizational skills, and at the same time sharpen my task prioritizing, analytical and communications skills. These sets of skills help me to understand the system and make use of it to get my project done. To be a player in the industry, the company has a very good HSSE policy in place and everyone in Shell are abide by the policy. Shell also trains their employee, contractor and even an intern about visible leadership and leadership by example. Shell also values honesty, integrity and commercial mindset. So, every process and projects were to deliver values to the company to improve the safety of the employee and in the end, to bring benefits the company. Learning curve in Shell is very steep because there were a lot of opportunities to learn new things.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
My mentor and supervisor are so supporting. With years of experince behind them, they share a lots, test my thinking skills and develop me as a young proffesional. We have a weekly progress update. In the update we will discuss about my progress or what I have done in a week. The sessions helps to find my strength and weakness. My mentor and supervisor usually came with a creative solutions to overcome my weakness. When I need help, they were always there and easy to approach. Usually when I encountered uncertainty I will just go straight to their table and they are willing to spend a few minutes of their time to explain things to me and even help me to find the subject matter expert of some topics. I was even sent to HSSE System and Governance by my mentor to see HSSE from a bigger picture.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
No one is perfect and there is always a room for improvement. If I could have done something better, I would not limit myself to just my project and logistics. If I were given more time, I would like to study more about petroleum lifecycle end-to-end and see Oil and Gas industry from a helicopter view.
    Advice for future interns?
Planning, set clear goals and objective. Be proactive. In a big organization such as Shell, there's a lot of opportunities and we can easily get ourselves lost. With proper planning and set goal and objective, the path to our goal will become clearer.

    What did you do?
Love how rapid it was growing during my internship period; I had a strong ownership in the Sales and Marketing department in juggling challenging tasks while learning new sets of skills from my lovely manager and my charismatic boss. I learned to grow my competency to communicate with client via phone and personally while securing sales and meeting appointments; exposed to fairs and events (where they have generously invested a lot of confidence in me) and working in marketing projects that were going. It was where I discover many unknown skills and competencies I had all along and found my passion towards the service industry. Work aside, I was lucky enough to join their quarterly team-building trip which was the most memorable event throughout my internship. Although only for three months, I was proud of what I was doing and accomplished, even until now.
    What did you learn?
As I felt that my ownership with Flexiroam was significant, I am generally exposed beyond the scope of Sales and Marketing. The three months had allowed me to learn about servicing various clients and developed my confidence through countless given opportunities and confidence vested in me. This allows me to be involved with the whole business operation and involvement with other departments. Also, I became knowledgeable of the telecommunication field and the rapid technology industry, along with the nature of the service industry. Through this, I learn new skills while mastering old skills that I have learned, everyday from the guidance of everyone in the company. Flexiroam has also developed me personally in understanding the appropriate corporate culture that incorporates work-life integration which welcomes everyone, irregardless of who they are.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
Everyone in the company was accommodating and never fail to support me with open arms. As everyone is treated equally irregardless of ranks and positions, getting things done for the first time is easy as guidance were within arm's reach. Flexiroam too, practices transparency of information among ourselves to deliver the best to clients. VPs from own or other department were eager to feedback and constantly listen to understand the areas for improvement—the whole point of internship—learning. I received full attention and applauded for my accomplishments, that makes me want to be better.
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
The culture and settings were appropriate enough that I wouldn't want anything to be changed. Considering Flexiroam is still new and expanding rapidly, it has outbreak itself from being a SME into becoming a MNC. The only thing could have been done better is keeping the culture and 'DNA of Flexiroam' the same even in expansion mode, to keep it's authenticity along with the entrepreneurial growing-traits mindset of a SME.
    Advice for future interns?
Be yourself, be fun and be incorporated. You will never know how impactful that being a 'Flexiroamer' will be, even if it's only as short as a few months. It will be a rewarding experience working with a team of diverse workforce and truly authentic people; while unlocking new undiscovered potentials and outgrowing yourself as an intern. Like the CEO of Flexiroam's work philosophy, Flexiroam firmly believes in work-life integration that breaks the boundary between work and pleasure; while challenging yourself professionally in a platform of growth. You will be more than just an intern—or 'apprentice' as Flexiroam puts it.

    1. Software design best practices 2. Teamwork 3. Use of different types of technologies 4. Interactive with multicultural people
    Was your supervisor supportive?
The supervisors (mentors) were very kind and helpful but not spoon-feeding of course. They were helping me by asking me the right questions so that I can find the right answers. The discussions were also very constructive.

I worked with the best department ever! Whereby I got the opportunity to get my hands dirty with various kind of projects. They give you to lead the project even though you just an intern and you must take full ownership over your task. The perk of doing an internship in startup company is that you have the opportunity to involve in projects that require creativeness in order to execute the project itself. Most of my projects I did from scratch. But no need to worry, the colleagues, no matter from which department are willingly to help you out!
    What did you learn?
These 7-8 months are such a wonderful journey and a life changing for me since I got to know many things that are happening in the industrial level where it beyond my expectations before my internship. Such a great company. The best place not just to work, but enjoy and place to gain experiences and perform the skills that we have. Highly recommended for those people out there to join Flexiroam especially to those who wants to show their abilities in handling projects.
    Was your supervisor supportive?
You don’t have so many superiors that you need to report to or to get their approval. Most of them are a flat organization whereby as mentioned by our CEO that we can do what managers do and the VPs can do like making a coffee for our guests. There’s no so called “management” that’s controls you from the 90th floor. And ofcoz it’s easier for you to get approval for your industrial training report (which is very important for you to pass your internship) where you get approval from your VP that sits beside you in the office. Choose your company wisely. Indeed there are pros and cons between SMEs and MNCs. Just google it!
What could be improved? What could you have done better?
I should challenge myself to achieve more than I could ever imagine and rise up my level of knowledge by having talks with all the VPs (Vice President) from each department. So that I can see a bigger picture of industry level and how to compete in the competitive market since in this era most of the growing companies are from the technology sector. It would be great if I took this golden opportunity to rise my standard according to the current industry level.
    Advice for future interns?
I know some of you never experience internship before, my suggestion is go for a small company rather than big company. FLEXIROAM is the best example of small company that give you a lot of opportunities that other company may not offer to you. You will involve in real project that could be use in the industry itself. Easier for you to explore and feel the excitement of interns life. Just go for it and you will never regret. As a result, I pass my internship with flying colors, with GPA of 4.00! It is not just that but I gained so many experiences and I am still hangout with my buddies from FLEXIROAM even though I finished my internship. Something that you can’t get from any other company, “interns come and go, but the friendship last forever”.
